Greater Syracuse HOPE

SYRACUSE,
WE HAVE A
PROBLEM.

In 2015 a report named Syracuse as having the highest concentrated poverty among minorities and 35% of all families and 50% of all children in our city live in poverty.

BUT, STEREOTYPES ARE HOLDING US BACK.

Far too often we, as a society, make assumptions about the people who battle poverty in America. It's easier to reduce the issues to a series of statistical figures than it is to recognize that all those dots on the map are people. People with dreams, determination, strength, joy, worry and HOPE.

LET'S SHIFT OUR PERSPECTIVE.

We are ALL striving for stability and security. The less we have them, the more stressed and more hopeless we can feel. But, our value is not based on how much money we have, it's based on what we do to make ourselves, our family, and our community better. We are all in this together, so let's all strive to be more together.
